Subject: | Maces Update |
Heyo!
Ok, even though there's no mace picture up, it's listed as very slow, swords and axes being medium. I assume there will be varieties of each weapons, some slower than others, some faster. For example, a claymore sword wouldn't be faster than a basic mace (stick with a lump on the end, branch and a rock, etc). Another example, a hand axe (hatchet sized) would be faster than a spiked mace, so on.
Also, just for this thread, I'm separating a mace from a ball and chain, which are, I believe, two different weapon classes. Even though they tend to get lumped in together (no pun intended).
I guess, to me, a basic mace is faster than a basic sword. Generally requires less skill to use in a basic way, also. (Please, no arguements about how a skilled mace bearer could beat a skilled swordsman, etc =+) Again, I want to try and stick to basics for the thread. An average mace vs an average sword. Not a big ol' two handed mace vs a fencing rapier. =+)
