The arid wastelands of Iritor are similar to those on earth or other planets, dry, hot and deadly. This desert is home to many aliens that blend well with the red sand making them visible only when its probably too late. Soldiers who frequent the desert often are said to navigate by comparing the spikes much the same way as sailors did with the stars, only with the exception of knowing that a dust golem could rise behind on of those spikes any moment.
The planet Iritor features many different landscapes to explore. Some may look common to the human eye, but some are clearly not from this world. Fortunately the colony was built in one of the less hostile areas of the planet, but caution is still necessary because being less dangerous then somewhere else doesn’t mean much on Iritor. The maze is an area of many legends already, because its size and content can only be guessed. Creatures lurk around inside, some voluntarily, some trapped in the endless labyrinth. Both are equally dangerous, making the maze a place where only the seasoned adventurer should test his luck.

They are thought to be the craters of meteors or even scars of war, that the Regulator didn't remove. The mounds are home to life forms that couldn't sustain the immense heat of the near desert, waiting for their victims to come out of the arid land weakened and easy to kill.

The mountains of Iritor are a very inhospitable environment. Their peaks all but scratch the sky and are often covered with large packs of ice. But even the lower regions are steep and cold. Only the most ferocious beasts would choose them as their habitat. Many marines have lost orientation in this dangerous area, barely realizing that they had been crushed by a granite golem even though they are standing next to a biomagnet. |
